Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?

No upgrade despite diamond ambassador status.
Instead offered 10k points, for a week long stay…
Higher category rooms or suites that are not excluded as per T&Cs showed as bookable in the app at the time of check in.

How are the rooms?

As advertised.

How is the exec. lounge?

Fantastic view. Fantastic food/drinks offering. Very nice staff.

What was good and what was bad?

Lack of ambassador upgrade of course made a difference for a week long stay.
According to the manager, they always sell all the rooms as reserved and only give an upgrade if there is a one category higher room available at the time of check in. Which is quite unlikely for typical longer stays in a vacation location.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?

Considered it an acceptable value for $ under the assumption that I get the ambassador upgrade. As booked no. Lesson learned and would therefore not return.
