I am and have been a American airlines EP for years. I received an offer to status match on United to Premier 1K. I am sure I missed it somewhere on the site but i can't seem to figure out the upgrade policy for Premier 1K status. Can anyone point me to the right link for that?

Sure. As a 1K, you'd have theoretical access to complimentary upgrades (CPUs) on eligible routes (domestic and short-haul international, excluding Hawaii beyond California or EWR/LAX-SFO) as early as 96 hours prior to departure. You'd also get access to PlusPoints for confirmable upgrades as early as booking (similar to SWUs).
Depending upon your location and flight patterns, CPU clearance rates range from 0 to ~80%. PlusPoint upgrades range from 0 to 100% if you're extremely flexible -- but upgrade inventory has become increasingly scarce recently. If you're traveling Monday to Thursday, LAX to EWR or vv, your chances of upgrade are near zero. If you're traveling DFW-LAX-FAT midweek, you may get CPUs on a semi-regular basis.
