I'll of course report back, but not anytime soon. Just forward planning, as if it is possible it makes the ideal target for a GUF2 on the basis my Amex 241 vouchers might get lucky and score F rewards (which isn't possible with Barclays)
I was interested enough to look at the Barclays voucher rules on BA.com. This is the rule that seems to eliminate the possibility of using a GUF as well - you can however combine 2 barclays vouchers together if you wish although I suspect that does not lead to a double upgrade but just allows more people to be upgraded on one booking...
