We're platinum so took the free breakfast buffet as our benefit - took full advantage of that every morning, we enjoyed the selections very much.

The first day we took the boat over to Vaitape and did some shopping at Chin Lee's, came back with some juices for the rum we brought with us, some Hinano beer, and various meats/cheeses/snacks for our room. Breakfast + our supplies really cut down on our food & beverage spend. For 6 days / 5 nights we spent:
  • Aparima Bar 6600 (drinks in the pool)
  • Bamboo Dinner 9390
  • Lagoon Dinner 31850 (anniversary dinner)
  • Aparima Bar 12390 (burgers & drinks)
  • Te Pahu Diner 33240 (polynesian night)
  • Aparima Bar 8170 (burgers & drinks)
  • Total 101,640 XPF

For the bugs - I saw two dead cockroaches on the property, and one live one on our bathroom floor one evening - he was quickly dispatched out the back door. Not concerning considering where we were.
We did NOT know the geckos made noise though! Took a bit to get used to them scurrying up the walls at night chirping at us!

Thoroughly enjoyed our trip, lovely people. The beach boys were fun to banter with, and the on demand pot of french press coffee at 5 or 6 in the morning by our little pool was the height of luxury!
