I tried to use a US Bank GC at WM this morning at 8 a.m, and spaced out and entered the wrong pin. Subsequent attempts with the correct pin didn't work.

I called and there is still money on the card, but the rep said that card was locked do to too many incorrect pins (it was ONE incorrect attempt!) and I had to reset the pin again and wait until after 6 p.m. to use it as debit.

I haven't heard that proviso that it would take a while to work again. Not sure if 6 p.m. was a certain amount of time since the failure or everything "resets" at that time.

Any insights?
