Also in both directions have done with LX, TK, looked at but not flown Ethiopian. And of course have booked others onto the EK flight between GIG and EZE in the past.

As to getting off, LX made me do it even on a transit, and I was told that BA did not require that (and back when I used to sit in the nose of a BA 747 in the late stages of that service, I never had to get off). LX told me it was Brazilian rules involving Covid. Who knows.
All I know is that it was a quite poor showing of LX First to have to get off in your pyjamas (they didn’t even know on board until we had landed) and then not even have a lounge, so standing around like some bum wearing pyjamas for an hour or two before getting back on.

Timing of the BA and LX flights ex-GRU is not good… I’d fly TK or Ethiopian going down, but probably BA or LX on the other way if it comes to timing and service offerings. For service through to/from Europe I’d just use the LH services which are nonstop and on a better aircraft.

I am a bit curious about whether the flight between GIG and EZE would be for sale in either direction… the Avios redemptions for EZE to GRU were very good value.
Looks like GIG instead of GRU stop for 2024 on BA to and from LHR-EZE.
GRU-EZE route is available for Avios redemption and as you said, it is decent value for a 3 hour hop on an Off peak day.
