It looks like Citi is not offering referral bonuses right now. I saw a public offer on the AA site for 75K with no AF the first year ($3500 spend). I was debating having one of my kids apply for it. How often does Citi offer referral bonuses (looks like it is sporadic per google search). I was thinking about holding off for a few weeks and seeing if referral bonuses come back. This offer seems to be on the historical high side ( i remember 80k but I think they charged an AF) I haven't really been following Citi AA offers since both P1 and P2 have the Citi AA Platinum Select. But 75K would work well for traveling home from college during prime travel seasons without spending a fortune.

To answer my own question I still don’t have any referral bonus offers but today my spouse got one that could be used 5x each time for $100 with approval for the AA line of products (platinum, executive) However, the offer gives the applicant only 50,000 miles so not nearly as good as the current public offer. She also had a Mileup referral bonus but the offer for the other person was only 10k
