There are no high end properties in Taman Negara National Park (a redundant name since "Taman Negara" means "national park" in Malay) and the food there is almost inedible. But it's still worth two nights if only to experience being rowed there and back in a long canoe.
I thought Malacca was historically interesting but not so much so that it becomes a mandatory stop. Haven't been to the Cameron Highlands but it really is best known for being a casino destination. I didn't think KL had that much to offer, by the way.
