That's helpful, thanks! Two out of three one-ways is actually pretty uncommon for me... but there are occasions where it works out that way. Avis has generally been pretty good about those, depending on locations.
I did involve a couple of people in corporate leadership on my most recent rental, and it looks like it's being resolved. It's just that it should work correctly the first time, without needing to stop at counters, make phone calls, or send emails.
