Customer Service is claiming that the reason for the $30 upcharge on my SAN-CLD rental is that I was presented with and accepted an upgrade.
Bogus. I accepted the default assigned car. (I looked at the upgrade screen as I always do, and there was ONE option presented to me (as a complimentary upgrade). I didn’t want it, so I canceled the change and went back to the default. But I don’t have proof of that.
I wish my neighborhood Enterprise was closer. I don’t really assume that the grass is greener… but I am so done with Avis.
