Holiday Inn Warrington

What is your Priority Club status?
Diamond

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Standard. No upgrade due to hotel being full.
Room door said "Executive Room" on the front but not sure what was executive about it - apparently "executive" in the UK means slippers and bathrobe but these were not present. Seemed like all the basic rooms were "executive".

How are the rooms?
Nothing special. Windows could be opened. Fair amount of space. See photos.

How is the exec. lounge?
None

What was good and what was bad?
Good - staff, wifi, shower. Free parking.
Got a preprinted welcome letter with my name handwritten and a packet of biscuits on the bed, but I think all guests got the biscuits.

Neutral - they didn't take the prepaid payment until check in. I preferred it to be taken at booking time in order to trigger an Amex offer, but it wasn't that important.

Neutral/bad - was warned at check in that breakfast would be extremely busy at the starting time, as there was a tour group who were all going to eat then. We also wanted to leave early, so went down at the time they said the tour was due to leave, but it still took 10-15 minutes for the staff to catch up with clearing tables. However after that everything was great except some of the buffet cold items never got replenished.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
£67 was fine for a motorway night stop. No facilities nearby.
