Of course, but the spend of Avios etc is all part of the game that we play. We all know there are no TPs and yet here we are, with everyone jumping through the aforementioned hoops and so on. There's no reason for BA to change it.
I agree with you though, it would be very nice and I'd love to see it happen, but I'm not weeping into my morning cornflakes just because we don't have it while other airlines do. If it bothered me that much, I'd switch airlines.
