We stayed at Poronui and StoneFly on our trip to NZ in 2014. Both are primarily fly fishing lodges. Minaret is by helicopter access only I believe. There was lots of logging around Stone Fly lodge so the views can be of clear cut swaths of mountain. Unless you are planning on fishing I am not sure you would be happy at Stone Fly or Poronui.
