The lounge manager told the GGL line about the airport operator email while I was standing there listening to conversation. I was HBO and did OLCI so didn't see ALC check in staff about any voucher in lieu but nothing was mentioned at the lounge about this, so I assume that has only been instituted since I raised the complaint as the GGL line was not aware of any issues, etc. on Sunday evening. I posted their written response up thread. I have followed up to their response saying this is unsatisfactory as it basically just says bring a print out of the OW Lounge policy with you and it should be OK......
BA has been removed from the Oneworld list of airlines permitted acces to the ALC lounge as of Monday 10APR. Instead all passengers eligible for lounge access and who pass by the check in desk are being given a EUR25.00 voucher to spend on F&B outlets in the terminal.

I imagine in your position as someone who completed OLCI and who was otherwise none the wiser about the lounge situation would have been turned away and voucherless. Definitely room for service recovery if BA aren't drawing your attention to the fact before you show up at the airport.
