I may, admittedly, be biasing the tone of my assessment based on a hunch that a lot of people are earning status without actually flying (such a hunch may be entirely false). I’ve been EP since 2018 and have historically flown mostly internationally on OW metal (AA, IB, BA, JL, QF) and credited to AA. Flying TATL in biz you don’t often notice gate crowding.

When I do fly domestically it’s often from regional airport to hub to regional or mainline outstation (e.g. I go to STL and PIT a lot), so maybe I’m just not that experienced with flying these markets.
