I always got free breakfast on award stays at the RC Kyoto. And some very nice suite upgrades.
The view from RC Tokyo is pretty unbeatable. But overall RC Kyoto is indeed a much nicer hotel.
Relevant to the people on this site, the Ritz Carlton Kyoto is probably the most luxurious points hotel in Kyoto. I would argue the Park Hyatt Kyoto is the better hotel overall for most people but it is just not on the same level as the Ritz in terms of luxury and service.
The Ritz Tokyo was just a normal city business hotel but I probably still prefer it greatly to the Park Hyatt Tokyo for the location alone.
