So I was denied 4pm late checkout with my titanium status at a Residence Inn. Complain via app chat and sent T&C quoting it's guaranteed but still a no. Sent a complain via Twitter where the agent open a case and told me the hotel would reach out within 5 days and of course it didn't happen. Then I email the Lurker and eventually got an email from the hotel (ironically it was the same person I chatted with via app) apologizing and promising training to front desk agents....with a .....500 points compensation.

I'm kind of shocked honestly and I wished they didn't provide the "compensation". To me it is an insult and it works better if they are more sincere in the email (there is no specifics to the actual issue or encounter) and just apologize and guarantee it won't happen again (I stay there a few times a year)... It's just ridiculous....
