Had a short stay this weekend and don't think I'd stay again absent a bargain rate. Bottom line is the staff is friendly and the property is clean and modern, but not particularly high-end and the room was tiny- even for Manhattan. A limited service brand would be better.

The location is very convenient for Penn Station, though, and Koreatown provides a lot of good dining options.

We booked an award night for 61,000 points. We were upgraded in advance to an Excelsior King, which seems to be the base room just on a higher floor. Friendly staff at check -in acknowledged Platinum status, confirmed upgrade, and offered choice of breakfast or points.

Our room was on the 15th floor and it was tiny. Notably, it was much smaller than the pictures of the rooms online, which showed a bench at the foot of the bed, and a sofa next to the bed by the window. Neither would have fit in our room. The bathroom was very narrow due to the shape of the room, but the shower was very nice. Malin & Goetz toiletries were provided. Our room was on the side not facing Fifth Avenue, and had no view.

Our room was in the corner designed to be a connecting room with the room next door, so we lost space due to that extra vestibule.

From the schematic, it seemed we had the smallest room on the floor.

The gym was in the basement and was pretty good.

platinum breakfast was served in the restaurant, Allora. We were given a voucher at check-in, which could be used for either the "continental breakfast"- cereal, croissant, juice, and coffee- or a $19 credit for other things on the menu. Most entrees were in the 19-25 range. I had the "vegetable skillet", which was under seasoned and not a skillet. No idea how the voucher was actually applied, but somehow we had a balance of only $3 for our two breakfasts.

The lobby was very small, and what you'd expect of a Courtyard or Aloft in the city.

The hotel was fine, but if you're expecting anything like other Le Meridien properties, you'll likely be disappointed.
