You all were spot on. I called them earlier today and told them I have a positive COVID test (which is true). They offered to take the flights out of the record and told me the ticket has residual value for a one-way from India to the US.

When I asked to refund the ticket, they said that the base fare of US->India oneway is higher than US->India->US r/t that I paid. So there's no amount that would be refunded.

Interestingly, I asked whether there would be a refund of taxes and fees. The agent said that refunds are only calculated on base fares and taxes & fees aren't refunded. I think I'll either HUACA once I know when I want to depart or just book an award ticket home and write to customer care once I'm feeling better.
