Ritz Kyoto is significantly better than Ritz Tokyo IMO. I spent half a week at both respectively. The Ritz Kyoto upgraded me to the Kita Suite and gave us free breakfast. The Ritz Tokyo provided no elite benefit whatsoever beyond a late checkout. Elite treatment aside, the Ritz Kyoto is a nicer hotel overall. The hard product is stunning and the soft product was top notch for everyone. However, the Ritz Tokyo has an incredible location for Tokyo imo.
