That pictured meal seems like most of it would flop with the majority of preschool aged kids on my flights and do even worse among those who refuse the bulk of their regular (post-preschool) school supplied lunches more days than not. Not only that, the pictured child meal looks like a recipe for a bigger mess to clean up even on the ground at daycares. Arguably, a more widely acceptable child meal on flights would have the meal into more easily segregate parts so that the kids can easily pick and choose rather than dismissing the whole thing at once. And it would be a meal that makes for less messes when accidents or turbulence hits and can be eaten easily with either utensils or even using fingers.

I'm used to seeing what kids will eat when they can't afford to be picky, but most of the talking-age BA-flying kids intrinsically know there are alternatives and that they can either push for an alternative, wait it out until something better comes along, or send a message about the future.

The quality of the kids meals on flights has nosedived over the years. While the adult meals included in the main cabin are also a poorer version than before, the child meals have taken a steeper dive. The "adult meals" would probably do at least as well as some of these child meals, but only the special order meals tend to come with earlier food service that gives kids the extra time to eat the food.

Yoghurt and cucumber or half-and-half/cream, to temper the heat when the spice otherwise may burn.
