Yes OP boarding at BAs home base has always been a shambles:
- you’re expected to queue at the tensa barrier according to your group, but you can’t see the waist-high signs showing where your queue starts, because of the crowd
- it wouldn’t take a genius to figure out how the boarding screens could be used to tell you what group is boarding. Instead, a BA ground staffer shouts it from their post at the BP reader. Maybe, or maybe not. Good luck if you hear them.
- pre boarding a family, maybe you’ve got a pushchair , or you’re managing an elderly person? Again, good luck hearing the pre boarding call. And then pushing your way thru the throng at the gate. Another obvious use of the gate screens , missed.
