OK, so that means I managed to get a booking for the free transit hotel, but possibly no free (small charge for the insurance/admin fees) visa yet (due to after booking and >90 days).
I guess I will wait and see until my date gets closer. If it's a Visa on arrival, I might bite the bullet or stay in the lounge for 11 hours...
For the others who are planning to fly soon, can you report back if you had gone through the transit hotel booking and gotten a visa after that?
