Bags off first, bags waiting after immigration, orderly boarding, great lounge service. BA should get some of what THEY’RE having. It can be done just not by BA and Heathrow.
That is just typical Asian service standards though. I would expect this throughout SE Asia.
BA's problems are many and varied and much of it of their own making. If you pay lowest-common-denominator wages you get staff who are less invested and less interested in doing the job. BA for many years seem to have been on a mission to compete with EasyJet and their ilk. They cannot and should not. Unfortunately I think management at BA lacks the imagination and cojones to tackle the general malaise at BA and simply rely on the mantra of driving costs down and down and down - and standards with it.
I stopped flying with BA years ago unless I literally have no choice (yes, I am UK based). I haven't regretted the decision once.
