Just to clarify, I put both options using multi-city booking tool. One was LON- CTA on 20/5, the other LON-MUC and MUC-CTA, both also on 20/5, with a single return from PMO - LON on 1/6.

The stopover would actually be 2hours 5 mins if I get the later flight from London at 10.50am. Do you think that’s risky at all taking that one, if Lufthansa might not cover the connection? I’ve looked and this week the flight is arriving on time every day. The earlier flight is at 9am. What would you do? I think I might have to get travel insurance anyway for another reason.
