I'm still deciding whether to stay here or go to Westin (900 sing dollars a night vs 500 for Andaz which seems crazy to me)
I'd say that overall it is a good hotel. The location is great and they are correct when they say they have a very small pool of suites. It's been insufficient since opening, but difficult to fix.
Your pre-arrival experience speaks to the money-maximising attitude pervasive in the hotel and this comes from the hotel's owners, but hopefully your feedback encourages them to tone it down a little.
