So... I just had a thing happen with the Lindner promotion where registered members get 1000 bonus points from stays in EAME hotels. I stayed at Hyatt Regency Dushanbe last month, and was awarded bonus promo points for that stay. I just completed a stay at Park Hyatt Doha, and only received points from the stay itself without the bonus ones. I contacted the Globalist line about this, who did some preliminary investigating but said that due to the vague wording of the promotion T&Cs, they'd poke around some more and get back to me.

Fast forward to now, I just got an email moments ago saying that Park Hyatt Doha is outside the promo region, as the region covers the EAME region... which includes the following countries: [copied and pasted from the email]

I wrote back asking how a Qatari hotel isn't bonus eligible when Qatar is an identified region, and unless the promotion includes hotels that don't participate in the program, then they needed to elaborate and provide further information.

Sigh... this is giving me Marriott Ambassador vibes.
