Pre-arrival service at this hotel has put me off - might cancel. The GM and front office mgr of another Andaz called this hotel to them I am coming and to take care of me, presumably to tell them my preferences too like extra water.

Andaz Singapore contacted me trying to upsell me to a suite. They didn't ask if I had any special requests. Just to upsell.

I responded that I found it distasteful to try to upsell me to my personal email.

They responded that all suites are booked. They actually aren't according to the app and told them. They got the dates wrong. Suites still available. They were wrong, they said. Seems to me they weren't really trying to pay attention.

they also said that because I'm just a Globalist and that because the GH is closed I won't get a suite. They give preference to lifetime Globalists because they have higher status.

I never demanded a suite so I don't get why they keep messaging me about it. I don't like properties that take an email as a time to spam me and upsell.

My business partner just went for 7 days and cancelled after a night because he hated it. I might do the same. I have a reservation at the Westin too.

Is a regular room at Andaz nice since I won't get a suite upgrade? Or Westin/ st Regis better?

I know this is a business but I don't like being pushed to buy a suite when the email came because I was introduced
