Thanks for the reply. I think it's one ticket, but there is a confirmation code for each leg. It was all purchased at the same time through the Amex travel portal.
Your bags will be checked through if you bought it all together through Amex, they're not going to sell you a separate ticket. If your second flight has a BA flight number then the other confirmation is just the BA PNR.
