My mom is flying to TLV from SFO on April 15, flight 954, the first leg of the trip is flight 5417 from PSP. The option to upgrade cabin is there for 35K miles and $450. Really only concerned with the SFO-TLV leg getting upgraded.
Under normal circumstances, the chances would be zero. There's only one seat in business class available (you can see that if you go to buy a new ticket on that flight and have Expert Mode enabled).
The only way that the upgrade would have any chance to clear would be if there were a
ton of people canceling. Given the domestic Israeli political situation, that's a possibility, but I don't know how likely it is.
ETA: The return flight (12:55 AM Monday April 24) doesn't look great either, although it's at least a
little better. There are 7 seats available on that one, but I'd be willing to bet there are more than 7 people on the waitlist, so again I think you'd be counting on some cancellations.
