Check in was in a lounge area and we were greeted with champagne given it was “champagne hour” at the hotel. We both speak Japanese so checked in with Japanese and were informed in the most polite way that our room was not available and unfortunately, we were further upgraded to the Ninenzaka house.

The room itself was expansive and gorgeous. As others have noted, the floor to ceilings are a blessing and a curse - great views but everyone can see in.

We had great service throughout the stay and took advantage of the Japanese breakfast in room (a friend was also staying at the hotel and we had no problem scheduling the breakfast every morning for 3 people). The hotel restaurant looked mobbed and disorganized so we avoided that.

Overall would highly recommend.
Stayed here for a bit. Agree with everything. The restaurant is this property's biggest miss IMO. The location is great.
