Apologies, yes it's to waitlist. She's also coming back on April 24, flight 955 with similar waitlist option, except the copay is about 600.
What class is she booked into? My best guess (I'm flying that roundtrip with similar dates) is that it might clear from Premium Plus, but would be unlikely from Economy. It might also be worth looking at the cash upgrade price. I've seen it for as little as $800 for a confirmed upgrade, though in my case it was from PP to J.
