Preselected the golden chicken and was pleasantly surprised. The chicken was very nicely done and the accompanying salad was excellent, with a nice citrus dressing. Not sure if the meal is normally catered with a big salad like that but I was happy. Hummus thing was very good. Followed by a sundae, which is tough to ruin.
Unfortunately based on this positive experience I chose the golden chicken again for a DFW-DTW flight and it was tasteless and tough to cut/chew/swallow.
Looks good. I thought AA was moving towards offering longhaul (2200+ miles) meals in courses (warmed nuts > appetizer/salad > entree > sundae/cheese), though? Did they provide a printed menu for this particular flight?
