Trying to book this for my coming itinerary CDG-DOH in J followed by DOH-BKK in F, hasn't been smooth sailing.

I contacted the online chat service who, after checking my itinerary, said that I had booked this routing as a "stopover" but not "transit" - hence wouldn't qualify for it.

I'm not sure what this means. Because CDG-DOH doesn't have F and, even though there are (in theory) 3 CDG-DOH flights available on that day, the only onward flight in F was the sole daily A380. All transits are within 24 hours. Nowhere during the booking process was the distinction between what constitutes a "stopover" versus "transit" was made clear to me. Does this mean that I only qualify when the timing between arrival to, and departure from, DOH is the shortest connection at the time of booking? But what if seats aren't available for that shortest connection, would the next longer connection apply?
