Just only the segment BKK-HKG, CX J does cost from USD 540 to USD 1163 (fare only). Usually, when airlines book elsewhere, they use refundable booking classes, so expensive ones. And not much change is left to cover the costs of your HKG-HEL-LHR segments. That far out, AY can be desperate to sell seats on their HKG-HEL metal.
