A couple of questions about visiting and staying in Sharm El Sheikh:
As a Hilton Honors member, I try to stay at Hilton properties if available. I noticed that there is a Double Tree hotel in Sharm El Sheikh. What is the transportation arrangement for visitors to SSH in terms of getting from the airport to the hotel? Do most hotels have a pick up service, or is there a hotel transfer service offered by the airport itself, etc.
Also, I was reviewing the hotel website and it stated that they can book safari tours. I have been to the traditional safari countries in Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, etc.), and I am sure the safari tours on Sharm El Sheikh are not the same as those in the countries I mentioned. Does anyone know what exactly a safari tour in Sharm El Sheikh entails?
Thanks.
The DT is likely to be the demoted Hilton at Sharks Bay, on the other side of the airport to the terminal. I'm pretty sure the hotel will be able to arrange a pick-up.... at a price, otherwise you can get a taxi/limo at the airport, or order one online. It's going to be around £10 for 10 minute drive

...... unless you lucky with the taxi drivers.

"safaris" are likely to be trips into the desert/wilderness or (more likely) focussed on sea-life and sea asdventures.
