Recently completed a two-night stay here, and suite inventory indeed seemed tight. When we arrived a little after noon, we were told that our assigned suite was occupied until 2pm, but they would prioritize cleaning it so that it would be ready by the regular check-in time of 3pm. Meanwhile, our friends who booked a regular room were able to check in right away (albeit to a room on the 26th floor, which is right above the check-in area, restaurants, etc.). Unfortunately, our suite still wasn't ready when we returned to check in at 3:30pm, and the front desk agent initially suggested we just take a seat in the lounge area and wait until it was ready. At this point, we did push back some, as we were now past the regular check-in time, we had earlier been promised the room would in fact be ready by 3pm, and telling us just to take a seat for an indefinite period of time didn't seem like a good solution to us. After some polite but firm back and forth, she agreed to assign us another suite, albeit on a lower floor. The duty manager later gave us a 100 SGD dining credit, which we appreciated, but we ended up just blowing that on a few drinks as there was too much good food in town for us to eat at the hotel.
The hard product was good, although showing some wear. We really liked the large bathroom and the view. My friends complained of plumbing noise throughout the night, but that might just have to do with their floor.
All in all, we had a decent stay, but I may explore other options next time I am in town.
