I don't think you are crazy but I do think you are completely unaware or not knowledgeable of the LH first experience.

​​​​​AA F is a second thought for AA. Some even consider it worse than AA J due to worn out seats and pretty much no difference in service to AA J.

A good crew at AA F compares to the standard LH F service like a waiter on a good day at Applebee's compares to service at a Michelin restaurant.
A bad crew with AA F will make you regret having spent the money/miles and will leave you scarred for life. Lol.
