I would think it would depend on the severity of the damage and how much it impacts daily usage.
Here is what's NOT covered, according to the Guide to Benefits:
• Cosmetic damage to the cell phone or damage that does not impact the cell phone’s capabilities and functionalities
• Cell phones which have been rented, borrowed or are part of pre-paid or “pay as you go” type plans
That's unfortunate as it excludes most if not all mvno's. even with google fi's post payment for extras, it can still be considered a prepaid plan
