The real reason there was no offer this year is that American Express typically does not give a retention bonus on the same card in less than 13 month period. The main reason that I could see to keep Business Gold is the 25% rebate on pay-with-points airline tickets, but this is moot if you also have a Business Platinum which includes the 35% rebate.
