for me they just picked the Avenue hotel which is one of the hotels for J/F apparently... when you get to the transfer desk they check availability and then book you accordingly and then hand over the voucher
Edit to add: the agent did tell me for J/F preference was the airside Oryx hotel but it was full on that night
