It sometimes requires a study of the big book of possible combinations. Once they let me in, and came back 10 minutes later to get my boarding pass again as they now knew how to register my visit.
They do need to find a combo to sign it of on, the airlines may actually audit the invoices.
The CPH Express access when flying AF out of CPH is courtesy of AF/KL (and CPH) -- not JAL.

Did JAL pay for CPH lounge access when flying AF in the back of the AF bus? The CPH contract lounge access when flying AF-operated(-but-JL-coded) flight would seem to be lounge access courtesy of AF -- not JAL. I was pretty sure that settlement/invoicing for the contract lounge guest counts is done by operating airline for the contract lounges regardless of what combination of FFP status and operating airline/airline group they correctly or incorrectly use to justify to themselves the entry.
