Thank you so much for your reply and suggestions. I think that we will do the same with two adjacent window seats - that will work the best for us since it is a daytime flight and no need to talk during the flight anyway. Will be sleeping quite a bit anyway since our connecting flight to Doha from Amman leaves at 2:15 am - but should catch a few winks during this 3 hr flight I do think that the window seats are all facing backwards - is that right? Hmm, that may be a bit weird, but should not be a problem. I read too that you can pre-order meal choices in advance to ensure your selection and can be served at any time you choose - is this done on their website and how far in advance is this done?

How can I assure that I get AA miles for this flight - is there somewhere in my record locator that I can enter my AA number?

Hubby and I got a complimentary upgrade to business class this past January when we flew from DFW to Hawaii - what a treat - flat bed seats and lovely food selections for the 8 hr flight. Gosh, never happened before, just upgraded for short flights which is nothing special. Hmm, now we are spoiled, but I am a budget traveler - mostly using award seats for our long flights. Bummer, I originally saw these seats for 70K miles each when I originally checked about a week ago,but they were gone when I went to book - of course. But when I was ready to book the award tixs for the the 40K economy seats, I checked the prices and saw the $1450 price for business and booked immediately as such tixs are usually thousands of $$ up to $10K. Checked yesterday and they are no longer available - so glad I purchased and did not wait this time - LOL!
