You’re welcome. And thank you … for dragging ME into this .

Thank you, AGAIN!!! Although to my knowledge, this is the first time you’ve admitted that it was not innate knowledge for you . Perhaps we should (also) thank the ATF Northeast Regional Counsel?

I linked about 10 years ago, before Uncle Sam sent me to Afghanistan (yeah, had to throw that in, but it’s actually pertinent). I did end up regretting due to a downside I haven’t read on this thread.

At the time I had a 3-4 year old (legacy) Chase UA Visa Select (personal) card which I planned to keep open for the foreseeable future (IIRC it earned some PQM each year which I saw as justifying the AF). At any given time I also had other Chase personal cards (UA Explorer, UA Club, Sapphire Preferred Visa and/or MC) and other Chase biz cards (UA biz, Ink Plus and/or Bold Visa and/or MC) each opened mainly for the SUB, each of which was closed at 8-12 months. (At that time, prior to 5/24 and 24/48 months restrictions, closing an account less than a year old was not so risky and cards/SUBs were more churnable.)

Best I can recall, after linking the personal to the biz profile my personal login no longer functioned, all my Chase access was via my biz login. I did not have any Chase bank accounts so the login was just for credit cards.

During the month prior to my mobilization, I closed many credit cards, figured a reserve mobilization would be a decent argument as justification for violating various credit card closure and application guidelines. (The month after I got home, I did an app-o-rama of 7 cards in one day .) When I left home the UA Select card (which was no longer available for new accounts) was my only open Chase (personal) card.

A month or 2 later the biz login stopped working leaving me with no online access to my Chase personal credit card account which I actually used while deployed for several ongoing automatic charges and also funding my Eagle card (basically a credit card for charges on base overseas). I don’t recall clearly but I think it took several long calls over 2-3 days to get a personal login reestablished. Fortunately I was still stateside (Fort Jackson, SC) so as disconcerting as it was, I was easily able to call Chase.

Based on that regret and downside, I’ve maintained separate personal and biz logins ever since, even at times when I’ve had 2-4 Chase personal cards and 2-4 Chase biz cards along with 1-2 personal checking accounts and a biz checking accounts. I actually find it easier to have 2 logins each with 2-5 accounts instead of 1 login with 4-10 accounts, I find over 5-6 accounts in one list to be a little cumbersome.

(Sorry I'm tardy with this reply, current holidays took me away from FT for a brief while.)
