On a mileage run a few months ago, I was desperate for cash at LAS. My wife had suggested that I might as well spend a few dollars at a slot machine, but Wells Fargo appeared to have a monopoly on the airport’s ATMs. By chance I noticed an option to use a debit card stored in Apple wallet, and it worked well with my Chase card.

I tested Wells Fargo, Chase and Bank of America today. Wells Fargo logged me out after the transaction, while the other two asked if I wanted another transaction, and if yes, Chase prompted me to enter my debit pin again while Bank of America had me tap my iPhone from scratch followed by entering my pin. Wells Fargo was the only one who offered me a receipt by text; the other two by email. These two furthermore took longer when tapping to pick up the connection to Apple Pay than the former.
