Welcome to FT BranFlake and congratulations for your first post after lurking for a while

Use of U is entirely normal for a POUG on shorthaul which you have done. I tend to fine the avios/TPs already show correctly in MMB once I have done the booking. But even so, I can't recall an instance where I have taken a POUG and it has not posted correctly with the upgraded points.
