If you're not already signed up for a dining program of some kind, register for AAdvantage Dining. It's free, and you link whatever credit or debit cards you use (they don't have to be AAdvantage cards). Even if you don't make any effort, you'll probably pick up at least one restaurant credit every 18 months just through Brownian motion and this will keep your miles from expiring.
