Just got the dreaded notice that my Apr 10 BOS/DOH sector was changed from Q Suite to standard A350. I had paid for seat selection - have been promised a refund (though not yet materialized) and also told that "this route doesn't have Q Suite at the moment." Funny, 5 of the 7 flights in the past week were Q Suite aircraft including the flight just landing in DOH... All goes to prove what many other more experienced posters have said, you don't know what you're getting until you board.
What surprises me is that there has been no obvious effect on demand, as indicated (roughly) by available J fares. Apparently people outside FT don't care if they get QSuite or not. Maybe this is just an experiment telling QR whether QSuites should be installed on any new aircraft, and the answer is no.
