Here's the downside:
Your family is currently perfectly happy at Hyatt Places. Once you're a Globalist, you will feel compelled to stay at full-service properties to get breakfast and upgrade benefits. It is objectively better, but damnit, you were happy before and now you're paying more to be happy.
