Why do Marriott properties cheat you out of points EVERY TIME!?

Seriously, are all Marriott properties front of house
and accounting staff merely incompetent or are they actually corrupt?

This has to be the 4th time in a row that I have booked a rate which includes a local promotion of Bonus Points and the property has failed to post them to my Bonvoy account,

At this point it looks to be a deliberate policy not to post the Bonus points and hope the customer doesn’t notice and/or cannot face the hassle of following up.

Being a confrontational so-and-so this won’t work with me but it is nevertheless a total pain in the arse to have to actively follow up with Marriott and/or the individual properties because the local staff are incapable of doing their jobs properly!

Bonvoy Lurkers - is it corporate policy to cheat members out of their due points if the property thinks it can get away with it? Enquiring minds would like to know.

(Yes I know that I can follow this up with Bonvoy/the property and yes I know that it will almost inevitably be resolved to my satisfaction but the fact that Marriott/their properties - a Renaissance in this case - repeatedly fall down on this obligation is more than a little annoying!!!)
